Mohita Suri (b. 1995) is a visual artist based in New Delhi. She holds a B.A. in English Honours from Dyal Singh College, New Delhi, and a Diploma in Oil Painting from the National Institute of Fine Arts (NIFA). Between 2022 and 2024, she worked under the guidance of artist Rameshwar Broota at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi. Suri’s practice examines the body as a site of memory, intimacy, vulnerability, and negotiation. Drawing from everyday experiences, physical sensations, and domestic relationships, her paintings translate moments of bodily discomfort, emotional tension, and lived experience into fragmented and intimate figurations. Works such as Trekking, The Ring, and It Was 29 transform seemingly ordinary encounters into meditations on endurance, attachment, compromise, and the negotiations that shape intimate life.
Suri has exhibited widely in India, including at the Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata; Indian Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar; All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS), New Delhi; Shridharani Gallery, New Delhi; and Surrendra Paul Art Gallery, New Delhi, among others. Her recent exhibitions include First Take by Abir India, Ahmedabad (2025), The Summer Art Market at Method Delhi (2025), and Fresh Produce at Method India Gallery, New Delhi (2025). She has participated in programmes including Hyundai’s Art for Hope at Triveni Kala Sangam (2024) and the Young Artists Mentorship Lab by Sameksha Art Gallery (2026).
